Biohazard has been perfecting the art of drunken debauchery since 1996.
After meeting for the first time at Norwescon in 1995, Blaine called up Chet and asked him if he’d be interested in throwing a party. Living in Arizona at the time, Chet bought two hard-sided suitcases, which he filled with half gallons of alcohol and flew to SeaTac. Calling themselves “Hella Party” their first venture was a ‘biohazard’ theme. The next year, everyone kept asking “where did that Biohazard Party go?!” and the legend was born, continuing the pursuit of the party.
For years Biohazard Party dominated the hotel convention party scene from the first-floor lakeside suite in Wing 4B at Norwescon and eventually expanded to include Rustycon, Westercon, Zombicon and Cascadia Con. In 2013 the convention party scene changed after the state started requiring special permits. Biohazard Party became an official Washington State non-profit and we launched as an official Crypticon Seattle con event a few years later.
Biohazard Party has evolved over the years but remains a group of friends dedicated to hosting the best in debauchery. We look forward to what the future has to offer!
